Santa Rosa Junior College’s World Languages department will celebrate diverse languages and cultures at its sixth annual fair from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 17 between Emeritus and Plover halls on the Santa Rosa campus.
The World Languages Fair is free and open to the public. Attendees can expect live music, international food and interactive activities to promote awareness of language learning and cultural exchange. American Sign Language interpretation will be provided.
“We want to bring students, faculty and the community together to celebrate our accomplishments and inspire future learning,” said Sarah Stallard, a member of the World Languages Fair committee. “Bringing language to life—helping students see, hear and feel world languages in a fun and motivating way.”
The World Languages department has a committee of faculty organizing this fair. Other participating groups include the International Student Club and the new Disability Cultural Center who will offer interactive activities and cultural displays.
Visitors will have the chance to explore the college’s language programs and speak with current students about their experiences.
They hope the fair fosters connection and inclusivity while encouraging students to pursue world language studies at SRJC.
