The Santa Rosa Junior College Bear Cubs volleyball team completed a cinderella season dominating Sacramento City College by taking all three sets on Nov. 14 at Haehl Pavilion.
The Bears Cubs [16-10],[9-7] missed playoffs last year and are happy to be back.
“[It’s] great to make playoffs and be a top 16 team in Nor Cal,” said SRJC head coach Kaitlin Ferguson.
The Bear Cubs came out slow but pulled it together and won the first set 25-21.
The momentum continued for Bear Cubs as they started to play like themselves and won the second set 25-15.
SRJC finished of Sac City to officially grab a playoff spot, winning 25-21 in the final set.
The Bear Cubs now prepare for their first round playoff matchup against Butte College at 7 p.m. on Nov. 21 in Santa Rosa.
