The SRJC Bear Cubs football team lost its third straight game to Fresno City College Sept. 29 at Ratcliffe Stadium.
The team came out strong in the first quarter when quarterback Christian McAlvain threw a 39 yard touchdown pass to Logan Valencia, resulting in an early 6-0 lead for the Bear Cubs.
Less than a minute later, FCC took a 7-6 lead on a 34 yard touchdown pass from Mike Baker to Anthony Yancy.
Unable to score for the remainder of the game, the Bear Cubs gave up two more touchdowns, accompanied by a safety for the Rams to finalize the score at 22-6.
The Bear Cubs fell to a 3-2 record after Saturday’s game. The team’s next match will be against Butte College at 1 p.m. Oct. 13 in Oroville. The next home game is “The Clo Classic” against Foothill at 7 p.m. Oct. 20.
