Brush your teeth! Catch the ball! Look at rocks! Dance! Dance! Dance!
Club Day at Santa Rosa Junior College went smoothly January 31, 2013. Many clubs participated including the Atheist and Skeptics Club, SRJC Women’s Rugby, Geology Club, Social Dance Club, Dental Hygiene and the SRJC Rotaract Club. The clubs showcased their merits from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the quad in front of the Frank P. Doyle Library.
Students gathered at club tables, consumed baked goods and received information on clubs. You could high five an atheist, learn proper brushing technique from a stuffed bear or support bake sales. One club was raising funds for a young African girl’s schooling for a year; another wanted to build a school in Uganda.
Club Day is a day for clubs to inform students of who they are, and a great opportunity for them to grow. Setting up shop in the center of student activity, clubs are exposed to a wide audience.
