A team of representatives from Google will visit SRJC starting April 23 to introduce a new indoor mapping project to create interactive maps of the public spaces at SRJC.
Information technology director Scott Conrad said Google will survey public locations throughout the college community to collect data and make sure these indoor maps are accurate, for providing information about classrooms departments and service locations throughout different SRJC locations.
Conrad said some ways to use these maps are to find buildings on the first day of class, the nearest bathroom or vending machine and use Google Latitude with the Google maps between classes to meet up with classmates.
