Eight students met in the Doyle Library Quad for a General Assembly on Jan. 23 to discuss ways to keep up the momentum from the Doyle Scholarship March last semester.
The group discussed an information booth and other ways to let students know why the Doyle Scholarship is still unavailable and what the G.A. plans to do about it. In addition, the G.A. plans to keep good communication with the president of Exchange Bank.
“[Students should] come to the G.A. because getting the Doyle back is not only important for us but for future students,” said Paige Picard, one of the key organizers.
Picard said last semester about 10 people organized the 40-person rally and march that got Exchange Bank’s President’s attention. He made an unexpected speech at the rally in support of the Doyle. This semester the G.A. wants more people involved.
The G.A. meets on Mondays at noon and Thursdays at 3 p.m. in front of the Doyle Library.
